Ayscue Professionalism Award
The Mecklenburg Bar Foundation's Ayscue Professionalism Award is presented each year to a current or former member of the Mecklenburg County Bar. Its purpose is to recognize exemplary professionalism.
Julius L. Chambers Diversity Champion Award
The Diversity Champion Award was established in 2008 to recognize an individual who embodies high ethical standards, unquestioned integrity, consistent competence and who champions diversity in the legal profession.
Hon. James B. McMillan Fellowships
The Fellowship program has a goal of promoting justice and innovation within the legal system in Mecklenburg County by awarding fellowships to law students desiring work experience with not-for-profit or governmental agencies.
Liberty Bell Award
The Liberty Bell Award recognizes outstanding community service that has strengthened the American system of freedom under the law by a non-lawyer.
Extraordinary Pro Bono Service Awards
These two awards recognize the Outstanding Individual Attorney who has contributed extraordinary service to provision of pro bono services as well as an Outstanding Collaborative Project that has contributed an extraordinary amount of pro bono services, impact for justice or demonstrated a dramatic improvement in its pro bono services.
MCB YLD Young Lawyer of the Year Award
The MCB YLD Young Lawyer of the Year Award recognizes the outstanding contributions a young lawyer makes to the practice of law and the Mecklenburg County community as a whole.
