MBA Pro Bono Awards

The MBA’s Pro Bono & Legal Recruitment Committee accepts nominations for the Outstanding Individual Attorney and Outstanding Collaborative Project Awards.  The committee select the recipients, and the awards are presented in the Spring at the Law & Society Gala.

Outstanding Individual Attorney

This individual has contributed extraordinary service to the provision of pro bono services for indigents, children, or non-profit organizations by providing legal services directly or by developing programs or projects within the volunteer’s firm.

Outstanding Collaborative Project

This association of MBA members has accomplished any one of or a combination of the following:

• Contributed an extraordinary amount of pro bono services directly to indigents, children, or non-profit organizations serving indigents or children; or
• Provided an extraordinary impact for justice to indigents or children, or developed particularly innovative or enduring projects or programs that serve indigents, children, or non-profit organizations that serve indigents or children; or
• Demonstrated a dramatic improvement in its pro bono services to indigents, children, or non-profit organizations that served indigents or children in the previous year.

Nominations should include:

1) A description of the pro bono services
2) The approximate number of pro bono hours
3) The impact of the nominee’s pro bono efforts.
