Committees: The goals of the Bar and Foundation are accomplished through the work of numerous established committees.
Continuing Legal Education: Earn your annual CLE required hours and take advantage of networking opportunities by attending or presenting at one of MBA’s live programs or webinars.
Sections: With 15 sections spanning a variety of practice areas, MBA sections are an invaluable resource for networking and educational opportunities within your own practice area.
Senior Lawyers Division (SLD): Open to all active and retired MBA members over the age of 60 or attorneys who have been in practice in any jurisdiction for 30+ years.
Young Lawyers Division (YLD): Looking for a way to network with fellow attorneys and give back to the community? The YLD offers a variety of social events and volunteer opportunities throughout the year and provides opportunities to build your legal footprint in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg legal community. Newly admitted members receive their first year of YLD membership at no cost.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: The MBA is committed to increasing diversity in the legal profession with the help of the DE&I Committee and its subcommittees.
Mentorship Opportunities: The Mentorship Alliances offers an opportunity to boost engagement and emphasize fostering diverse connections throughout the Bar while promoting values of equitable, inclusive professional leadership development.
Lawyer Referral Service: The Mecklenburg Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) refers those who can afford to pay for legal services to a North Carolina licensed and insured lawyer.
Pro Bono Opportunities: MBA members can take advantage of multiple Pro Bono opportunities within the Bar & Foundation and the community.
Annual Events: Network with your colleagues at one of MBA’s many annual events.
