The following organizations were identified, vetted and approved as recipients of grants of up to $10,000 during the 2024-25 grant cycle:
$10,000 - Matthews Help Center: Matthews Help Center has been providing short-term crisis assistance to residents of the Matthews community since 1979. Support includes financial assistance for rent, utilities, childcare.
Non-financial assistance includes food, clothing and household items for families and individuals suddenly facing a crisis such as job loss or a medical incident. To learn more about Matthews Help Center click here.
$10,000 - National Alliance on Mental Health: Charlotte: The National Alliance on Mental Health: Charlotte envisions a world where all people affected by mental illness live healthy, fulfilling lives supported by a community that cares.

$10,000 RAIN: RAIN empowers people living with HIV and those at risk to be healthy and stigma free. Since 1992 RAIN has provided comprehensive services with integrity, compassion and commitment to achieving quality outcomes in HIV services.
RAIN provides HIV and STI testing, access to PEP/PREP medication, case management, education and additional medical support to individuals in need. Additionally, RAIN provides housing and utility assistance to qualifying individuals in need. To learn more about RAIN click here.
