Program Overview
Tara Kozlowski will cover everything an attorney should know about court-ordered mediation in North Carolina. This course covers the superior court and family financial court-ordered mediations that fall under the jurisdiction of the Dispute Resolution Commission and the rules promulgated by the Supreme Court of North Carolina. Ms. Kozlowski will discuss how the mediation rules apply to litigants, their attorneys, and the mediator to explain each mediation participant’s responsibility to the process. This course will also review the Commission’s advisory opinions, enabling statutes for each program, and resources available to litigants and their attorneys. Ketan Soni will accompany Ms. Kozlowski for the presentation.
