Program Overview
In an era where data is a powerful currency, legal professionals must provide advice and counsel to clients repurpose administrative data thoughtfully and routinely. We generally refer to these efforts as integrated data systems (IDS), but they have other names, including data hubs, data collaboratives, state longitudinal data systems and data intermediaries. This workshop is designed to empower lawyers with the knowledge and skills necessary to support their clients in navigating integrated data systems effectively. The training will cover key topics, including data governance, privacy considerations, regulatory compliance, and ethical responsibilities. By the end of the training, lawyers will emerge with a comprehensive understanding of their pivotal role in integrated data systems, equipped to embrace the opportunities and challenges presented by these systems.
