The Mecklenburg Bar Association is thrilled to announce an exciting new approach to our annual joint Law & Society fundraiser, benefiting the Mecklenburg Bar Foundation. This prestigious event will take place on May 16, 2025, and promises to be an evening of elegance, inspiration, and community spirit.

The Law & Society Gala will be held at The Revelry, Camp North End, starting at 6:00 p.m. Attendees will enjoy a night filled with dining, dancing, and the opportunity to connect with fellow legal professionals and community leaders.

This year, we are introducing a fresh format, a black-tie Gala, designed to enhance the experience for all attendees. One of the highlights of the evening will be the presentation of many of our annual awards as well as a special segment dedicated to judicial recognition.

We are honored to recognize the distinguished careers and contributions of several esteemed judges. This year, we will pay tribute to three federal judges who have recently taken or will soon take senior status or retired, Judges Robert Conrad, Frank Whitney and Craig Whitley. Additionally, we will celebrate the long-time service of Business Court Judge Louis Bledsoe, who retired in 2024. Their dedication and commitment to justice have left an indelible mark on our legal community, and we are proud to honor their legacy.

As in past years, the primary goal of the Gala is to support the Mecklenburg Bar Foundation, which plays a crucial role in funding legal services and educational programs within our community. The Foundation's initiatives ensure that justice is accessible to all, regardless of their financial situation.
